A Film About Our Life Now

Set Against the backdrop of modern Hong Kong, a sad city caught between liberty and tyranny, three stories of love and betrayal intertwine in a web of deceit and manipulation.

Three primary school classmates, separated after the 1989 Tiananmen Massacre, meet up for a reunion through facebook at a pub only to find themselves pining for the dreams of who they might have been.

Adam, a British-educated banker, boldly goes home with a vain charming woman who is married to the next candidate for the Hong Kong Chief Executive. While Shing, a hairdresser, is having an affair with an older rich woman of his own, though he finds himself more attracted to her son. Ka-Lok, who is a depressed university teacher who spends his time obsessing over the mysterious disappearance of his father. In a series of twists, the three strands unravel just as the former British Colony reaches a post-handover boiling point.
